General Description
Thedoras is the larger of the two nations which struggled against one another in the world of Narden. It is, in fact, nearly twelve times the size of Rodush. Approximately 40 million people call the land of Thedoras home, 9 million of which reside in the capital city Tormmor. This city is a mere week's journey from the Rodush border. From the west coast to the east, and from the southern borders of Rodush to the northern coast, one can find the people of Thedoras. It's populace is mainly focused in the west, due to the many fisheries found there, although a large number also reside in the middle of the land, around the capital city. Very few people live in the eastern land, as it is thought to be cursed and haunted by strange creatures. True or not, few dare to settle that area.
The Oren Islands are found off the northern coast of Thedoras, roughly in the middle of the land. There are four islands in total, and some 150 thousand people live there. Mostly sailors and fishermen, and by all accounts very respectable people. They sail towards Thedoras often for trade, and it is said that their fish is the best sold anywhere. People generally believe it is because of how cold those northern waters are.
A river runs from the southern mountains, Rac's Shroud, and flows northward. It takes many twists and turns, but runs more or less straight through the center of Tormmor, thus cleaving the city in two. After passing through the capital, it resumes it's meandering route until it spills out into the northern part of the sea. Many smaller settlements have been founded around this river, which has been named Bluestorm, because of the color and ferocity of the water in certain areas. At it's narrowest it is three widths of a warship, and at it's widest it is perhaps thirty such widths. It has five rapids, and there are also two waterfalls along it's journey. One of which is a fall of such beauty it has been named Heaven's Fall. It is said to fall over three hundred feet, creating multiple rainbows from it's spray. The other is much smaller and has not been officially named. It falls perhaps fifty feet, and is near the end of the river, close to the north coast.
There are caves hidden behind Heaven's Fall, a system of caverns which reaches deep back into the land. None have dared go there, due to the strange sounds which people can hear when close. Most have claimed that there must be a balance to the beauty of the fall, so the caverns are there as a counter. Good and evil.
The Atar Mountains are located in the northwestern corner of the land. They thrust up out of the land suddenly, and there aren't many hills surrounding them. Although not as tall as the mountains of Rac's Shroud, they are still impressive. Many passes twist their way through the Atar, leading one through to a smaller populace on the other side. These mountains curve in a crescent shape, the tips of which touch upon the northern and western coasts. Trees reach up perhaps three quarters of the way up the mountainsides, getting sparser the higher they reach. Plenty of game resides in those trees, and many hunters live around this area.
One final distinguishing feature is the Adem Forest. It is the forest which comes down from the Atar Mountains. Covering most of the mountains with it's greenery, it also spreads outward in something of a crescent shape. The trees thin out quickly the further north one travels, and become quite thick further south. It forms a crescent shape, and at it's thickest point would take perhaps two days to travel through.
