Geography of Rodush
Found in the mountainous southern region of the world, Rodush is the smaller of two nations within the known world of Narden. Those mountains separate them from Thedoras, the larger of the two nations, and the Ashuth Wastes are further south, to it's back, insuring that no one may attack from behind. The Ashuth Wastes is a large desert that reaches from Rodush all the way to the waters of the Dralic Ocean on the far distant coast. There is no water to be found within the sands of that place, nor anything living.
A single river passes by the land of Rodush. It starts from the western mountains, and flows past the foothills where the larger cities and farms of Rodush are found. After passing those foothills, it abruptly turns south, into the enormous desert, where it quickly fades into a trickle, and dies completely.
All the people of Rodush live behind the mountains, so that they form a natural border between them and the land of Thedoras. The only way to get into Rodush is by use of narrow passes throughout those same mountains. Or by crossing the immense desert at their backs. Such a crossing has never successfully been done. Because of where it is, Rodush is almost entirely separated from the rest of the world.
The mountains which serve to conceal the land of Rodush are known as Rac's Shroud. Thus named because the people of Rodush worship the Sister God, named Lady Rac, and those mountains serve to hide Rac's followers from those who would bring them harm. The entire area is mountainous, but there is more or less a straight line of mountains that is tall in the extreme. Those are the mountains know as Rac's Shroud. Most are so tall that snow lies upon their peaks all year round. They are all so steep as to be nearly straight upwards, with jagged peaks.
This is the land of Rodush, where her people call home.
